The Royal Photographic Society have brought a great show to Bristol, one that charts its histroy as well as showing current members work.  The exhibiton is at 68 the Glass Walk located on the top floor of Cabot Circus, although slightly out of the way the space works incredibly well as a gallery. The simple layout  helps divide the show into its two sections: one wall is dedicated to currents RPS memebers work selected from current competition exhibitions, the other documents the RPS annual print competition from 1854 – 2007.

Nell. Justyna Neryng (from 154th International Print Exhibition, 2011)

Impeccably hung the work on both walls is to a great standard, those familar with the history of photography will recognise names such as Juliet Margaret Cameron and Alfred Stieglitz among others. The exhibition shows the quality of work produced across a variety of genres by its members. For those wanting to enjoy aesthetically pleasing images this a show not to miss.
